I am assuming the correct fluid was used and mechanic told me there was not loads of bits in the fluid. I had it done at BMW autotech liverpool.
ps it goes out of gear 3 eventually when enough revs are reached (4000 revs)

I have an X5 E53 4.4 year 2000 automatic . It's started to rev higher to go into gear 3 and above after about 30mins continuous driving . Even if I manually shift it up , it drops back to 3 straight away.Needs loads of revs to get to next gear. Goes down gears fine. First 30 mins or so driving ...
