Would the torque convertor cause that symptoms? The new box defintely works just fine.

I've been googling about and was wondering if the EGR valve could be a cause? As god knows when it was cleaned out last.. ie a very long time ago.

Can anyone help me diagnose this once and for all..

Hi Chaps,

Appreciate any help. Is there anything you think that might be causing the following issue, hopefully something I can sort myself:

My X5 4.4i 2000 plate a good few months back just one day didn't want to change gear if you put the foot right down (engine properly warmed before doing this ...

Re: Several strange issues.. + One especially concerning one!

Thanks guys, will look into the battery. Never had an issue with it, but not sure how old it is either.

Regarding the power loss that's my biggest concern, might have to take it to an indy to get checked out as I doubt I'll be able to get to the bottom of it.

Several strange issues.. + One especially concerning one!

Anyone have any ideas on why the following keeps happening on my 2000 x5 4.4i auto:

> The car randomly won't lock/unlock using the fob, 1 minute it works the next I have to open manually. Can go days either way too.

> Passanger door randomly won't open from the outside or inside handles **To temp ...

Re: Driver door won't open..

Got it open with a wire coat hanger with a bend on the end. Something had jammed :(

Hopefully a new carrier sorts it out.

Driver door won't open..

So the other night in the extreme frost the door was sealed shut, I pulled too hard on the outside door handle and something went pop. I managed to get the door open from the inside handle.

Took the door card off, took the outside handle/carrier off and noticed a metal "clip" was broken. So ...

Re: BMW Headrests with built in screens - £££?

Thanks for the replies, found someone selling genuine bmw headrests in black leather with the built in screens and wiring for £100 + postage.

Anyone know how to wire them up? The previous owner upgraded the system to the satnav/dvd one and just told me all that's missing is the headrests/screens.

BMW Headrests with built in screens - £££?

How much are a set of genuine 2nd hand black leather headrests with the built in monitors to play dvd's worth?

Have someone with a pair asking for offers.. not a clue where to start.

Thanks

Pmd them here and on another forum and no reply. But if anyone is selling one second hand or sees one for sale anywhere please let me know. Or a similarly good make kit.

Thanks
