I removed and stripped down the Servo unit today, The black plastic gear had the teeth stripped off, I've replaced its and put it back on. although it was a bit better is still shuddering when accelerating. not sure what to do know TBH. I cant afford the rebuild costs of the Transfer case. Although ...

Hi, so another update for you, I had the car plugged in and although loads of faults. none related to a transmission related problem. Interestingly glow plug cyl 2 is faulty.

So, a colleague has a scanner, weve plugged it in and found that there are no stored transmission error codes, we have calibrated the TC, the servo etc and it's still giving you a judder when accelerating. next step is to electrically disconnect the TC then run it and see with just the rear wheel ...

Okay, here is the update. New tyres have been ordered and fitted yesterday afternoon. On the road the drive is so much nicer it's quite unbelievable that its caused that much difference. But when you accelerate you still get a shuddering or slipping. so The next step I think could be to remove and ...

Thanks, I will do a ecu dump and go from there. Just had a new set of Avon tyres on the front and it started with the drive problems, they are the correct size but not * rated. Rears are fine tread depth but again not * rated.

Hi,
I have 06 3.0sd 110k miles on the clock. It just developed a jerky drive when accelerating and im not sure where to startvdiagnosing the fault, I thought id start with the plastic gear on the actuator for the transfer case but I haven't got any lights on the dash.

Look at the turbo servo linkage. my bolt fell out and the linkage wasnt moving properly

Mine started doing this recently. charged at 14v, drop tested and dropped to 10 11v. I took it to my garage to check the starter. They couldn't find the fault. We decided to change the battery and fixed the fault. the battery was tested again a day later off the vehicle and it failed.

I have 2005 3.0d X3. recently I have intermittent non start problems which I'm struggling to sort out. I originally thought it was a faulty battery but that all test okay.
