I do have a son who can do labour for free so less of a problem. For some reason I thought Touareg was better on fuel than X5s ...

Sorry to semi-hijack this interesting thread but I notice you said you had a Touareg previous. I really don't like VWs these days but I am told they are strong and pretty cheap so just curious... how did you get on with it? Interested to hear your thoughts on it, MPG in particular.

Well the hunt continues. been offered a 2009 X5 M Sport (35D) in black. 145k miles but lot of work done. Complete new suspension, airbags, pipework, compressor. All injectors he said replaced but need to check that as I am told the only proper ones are £1000 each due to only Bosch being able to ...
