2002 (52 plate) park light warning

Is there a "how to" on how to replace the park light (I assume it's the same as the side light) bulb?

I've located the bulb and can take it from the light casing but can't work out how to remove it from the holder  O:-).

Picture of the bulb and holder attached, any help is much appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by "park-light" ?

Looks like a front fog light bulb...

The bulb is part of the connector casing & comes as one chunk....
It does not seperate from the electricsl connector casing.

The warning on the dash says to check the park light, the bulb that seems to be out is the side light, ie not the headlight but the one beside it. If the bulb is connected as one, I need to replace the whole thing?

Yup....
The whole bulb & plastic fitting... it is a single item & will not dismantle.

When you fit the replacement, ensure you DO NOT touch the bulb.. as the bulb will fail quickly.
Also, clean the sealing surface that the orange O-ring  contacts, & possibly apply a smear of oil.....
.(robbed from the dipstick on your finger).... to ensure a good waterproof seal.

This bulb has no rear protection other than its fitting, to simplify the lamp unit & manufacturing costs etc

Side/Park light is the same thing.  We call it a 'side' light but the U.S. call it a 'park' light.  Too much effort to recode the warning for the UK...

Get these from Halfords or better still/cheaper at any motorists discount centre.
