Door Swap

To cut a long story short, I am having to replace the drivers door after an issue with the handbrake, and a steep incline.

I have sourced a door from a BMW specialist breaker, but it is a bare door only.

I have removed inner door panels, etc previously, but just wondering if anyone has actually transplanted the innards of one door to another, and then fitted a new door?

Tricky?

Any advice on how and where to start, etc?
