gearbox question

hi guys, when gearbox is in D (6 speed) does it use 1st to pull away, as I noticed mine always pulls away in 2nd even with the caravan on the back?

If memory serves, the 6-speed uses 2nd by default unless in ‘Sport’. It’s basically the same box as that fitted to the E53, but a Mk2 version (and more reliable).
