Engine stopping starting at lights etc.
any ideas please? Cutting out at lights etc adn starting again. 15 plate

Is the car equipped with the Start/Stop function? This will stop the engine at the lights (or junctions etc) and it will auto-restart when you release the brake to pull away again.

Next to the start/stop button there will be another button which lets you turn off the start/stop function that I think you are referring to. If you don't want it to stop/start at lights etc then it needs to be turned off each time you start the car at the start of each journey.
