Coolant pump
I started this thread by whining about getting a seal for my water pump which I changed and all was good. Now just under a month later the pump is squealing so have had to send for a new one. Really difficult to pinpoint the culprit. Stops after a few minutes, thought it was the secondary air pump, disconnected that but still there, took the a/c belt off, no joy. Main belt and it stopped.

Coolant pump
Thanks Henry noted , will see.how.it goes but will need sorted by winter or.it will be a cold sit
Annoying when you changed the waterpump and the noise is back soon after , I get a squeal on moderate acceleration often when I move off to get out a junction which disappers instantly If I lift off which I believe is the front rubber mounted main crank pulley , it doesn't wobble yet but I believe the rubber is slipping under high loads maybe something to look into for you as water pumps rarely give bother.

Greydog the belt tensioner was checked, well, visually with a quick spin by hand and felt for play. Seemed good.
Leslie what you describe is exactly what mine is doing. First thing in the morning and a quick squeal if booted out of a junction. I leaned towards the pump because there is play in the bearings.

Coolant pump
Mine did it since I got it and its had a new pump in that time which isn't leaking .I only changed the pump as I had a leak which turned out to be a pinhole in the bottom of the rad but it was getting spray about while driving so looked like the pump. The pump did have a little play to though but was serviceable but when I was in that far and had a new one it was for the bin.
