BMW E70 Rear axle Air suspension

Well I think I have found where the water has been coming in, the bottom rear of the drivers door seal is flat the membrane is virtually non existent. I cleared the drains ordered a new membrane but not sure what to do about the door seal just yet.
But now I have discovered that to get to the node points it looks as though the driver seat will have to come out :headbang: Feeling a little out of love with my E70 just at the moment

I have often though about cutting a slit in the outer door seal low down to let the water that collects between the inner and outer out as this is a silly design :headbang: I hope you can just move the seat to the limit of its travel to get near enough unless its under the carpet which no doubt it is  The door seal is probably fine if there are not cuts in it
Following the wiring back from the ehc to the front of the car hopefully shows up something .

Morning All
Well managed to unbolt the drivers seat and tip it on it's sider so I could get the carpet raised and check the loom. The loom actually runs in a very effective lidded plastic trunking so is protected from water ingress nice and dry and no sign of corrosion at the splice points. So I am now needing to borrow a good oscilloscope to test the bus systems as everything seems to be pointing towards a failing terminal resistor on one of the systems K-can PT-can or F-can seem the likely candidates

Well the lad with the oscilloscope will be here tomorrow so at last I may be able to get to the root cause of my issue. Best bit it will cost a couple of nights B&B real plus point I get the help of one of the best Industrial Control engineers around
As an aside the cars suspension is still at the level it was at when this started so definitely no leaks
