Got an X5

Post by weeden » Thu May 05, 2011 9:48 pm

Hi from Central Scotland, just got a 06,3.0 diesel,I was reading on your forum regarding changing the air filter and breather assembly,Parts were delivered today so decided to get on and fit them, never worked on an X5 before but everything was straight forward, done it without removing the pollen filter assembly,a bit tight but got it.

Nice one! And welcome!

You must have smaller hands than me!

Does the car feel better, or was the change too early to compare?

Hi Sanj and thanks for the welcome.
The car seams the same, the one that i removed was not the foam filter type, but what i did notice was the new one was a lot lighter than the old one !

That's good! New filter replaces an older non-serviceable part. Should be no effects to car. Check for smoke on fast stamp on teh gas. Should be minimal...
