Hi,
As the subject suggests my X5 ('03 3.0D sport 76K miles) has started making a clackity clackity noise from the front end when turning right.
It only happens under power (i.e. not when coasting) and only between 1/2 and full right lock.
I'm currently trying to arrange some time to put her on a lift so I can investigate further, but in the mean time has anyone here experienced anything similar?
Cheers,
~Shaun.

I've got mine booked in next wednesday for exactly the same problem. More than likely gonna be failed CV joints for me.

It is a cv joint its a easy enough fix but get it done sooner rather than later or you will be left sitting on the side of the road when the joint fails

Sounds about right mate
you can have a quick check to see if the cv boot is torn by sticking the wheels on full lock you will see plenty of grease spewing out if it is
It could just be a worn part but afaik they usually fail when they dry up with split boots.
