hi all, ive been having a few problems with the widescreen monitor lately. a couple of weeks ago it decided to lose its colour and go an all washed out browny colour,
i know some people have had this happen but before i had a chance to play around with the wiring connectors it just sorted its self out a few days later and been ok since.
today i have lost the widescreen look on the display and have black bands going up both sides of the monitor leaving me a rather squashed in picture. has anybody else come across this one before and able to suggest a fix?
regards

Re: lost widescreen, gone all square!
just to follow this up.
i tried several things to sort this including taking monitor out of dash and stripping down, looking for loose wires/ribbon connectors - all seemed ok and no difference made.
clearing out boot floor and checking wires on video module and whilst there disconnecting battery for a while - again no difference made.
connecting up my scanner and resetting all modules connected with the monitor - no joy.
and finally, this morning, whilst driving, the monitor just went blank for a few seconds, and came back on in glorious widescreen!!
im not sure how or why this happened, but i have noticed recently, my monitor occasionally shutting itself off then on again every so often. so i hope its not on its way out?
anyway, all sorted for now.....

Have you still got your traffic master connected to your car? If so these can cause problems
