New headlights

I have the old headlights with Orange bits which are fine but would love to have Angel Eyes.
Question is if i bought newer model ones or quality non OEM ones also with Xenons as i have now, are they a straight swap or a stealer has to get involved to reset something ?
I dont want to go a modification route should anybody suggest same.
