Remember that E70 X5 wheels will need spigot rings if fitted to your X6 as the centre bore diameter is smaller due to the clever rear drive system we have.

That was my next question, what spigot rings do i need.

True - but the chance of finding X6 wheels for winters is a little remote ...

Agreed. I was very lucky with mine in that they were brand new off a car where the Owner was having other types fitted and didn't want them. I wonder if he/she subsequently started looking for a winter set and thought that they ought to have kept the original set for that purpose?

Very likely.
The set I picked up last week in Winchester, the guy mentioned that he could not use them as he was running 19" on his E70. I told him that I was doing that as well, but wanted them for winter wheels. Don't think he realised they fitted ...
