Electric fan
Does the electric engine fan kick in under normal running conditions, only asking because i have a Toyota Hilux and the fan only comes on if it overheats, perhaps just being paranoid.

there should be a sensor attached to your radiator or engine block or on your fan like the bmw fan clutches which turns the fan on when cooling is needed. if it is overheating there might be an issue with your temp sensor. apparently your fan seems to work

Re: Electric fan
You will quite often get the electric fan running if the a/c is on and it needs extra cooling. It's not unusual to have it running under normal conditions, and especially once the air temps come up and you are in slow traffic (or have been using the 'loud' pedal.
