changed front pads this evening as they were getting low, light was on etc. installed new sensor, had to clear fault light by holding down cruise control button for 40 seconds in ignition 2! worked though.
finally, also hired a rug doctor today!! gave the light grey e46 seats a good going over!! they look brand new!! not one mark, water mark, stain etc !! well worth the £20 to hire the machine!! will get some pics up tomorrow!!
