Missed last night's one. First one was interesting enough but I felt they could have edited it a bit better to give more of a feeling of drama and risk, in what really was quite an extraordinary journey.

Very true. There was depth to the story left unexamined but that walrus guy was a great character.
Watched the rainforest one last night. I enjoyed it more. I won't say more as it might spoil it for someone who hasn't seen it yet.

Just watching it now. Had no idea Mika Salo was in all of them. Have to say, can't see why really - he does the inscrutable Finn down to a tee but doesn't really make good TV!

What did you think?
That mud 'hill' was a tough one, eh?

Was definitely more interesting than the first. Still think Salo is an odd choice though.

Any good? I've been a bit underwhelmed to be honest.

Re: Driven to extremres on Discovery
It was the desert one. Amazing terrain. Big challenge.
The 2 guys ended by saying what great mates they'd found, although as a viewer (to me, at least) up to that point there was a lot of macho tension in the air.
I think the idea of the show was great, the actual end result was less impressive.
I'd been 'into' cars / motoring for years but lost interest due to a number of events in life. Just getting back into really as my X5 has been something different plus I can't do my usual hobby due to injury. I guess this means I perhaps enjoyed a motoring adventure show more than I would have a few years back.
It would be interesting if they got some viewer feedback then did a second series.

The whole thing just felt like a big pilot. They've really got to up the tension if it's going to be a programme I'll sky+.
