bmw x5 2005 3.0 diesel sport, tailgate creaking
anyone have a sure fix for this problem , can be really irritating , worse on uneven roads ,turns etc , changed the stoppers(sit in water channel,( right and left ) to the new updated type that are sprung now, no adjustment now like the old ones , but really no much noticeable change ,thanks

Not sure if i had the same creak, but ......
open the tailgate -= look inside the handle/hand recess - you will see a screw that holds that panel on - try tightening it. My creak went away after that
Do both sides

yes all screws tight there , it mainly creaks when uneven road ,like body flexing that's when you hear ,people say some x5 have it and some don't , its not too bad just a bit annoying , with radio on wont hear nothing of course

Try spraying some silicone lubricant onto the rubber seals on the tail gate, sometimes there may be a tiny amount of movement in the seals and the rubber moving on itself/paintwork can be enough to cause a squeek.
