Does anyone know if the Brembo M Sport calipers from the other BMW ranges will fit the X3 ?
Haven't had a good search of the internet as yet, but I'm assuming the standard sliding piston calipers and discs will probably be shared with other ranges (3 series most likely), and if so then the Brembo's should be a straight swap ?

Hi
I don't know but would guess if you are using bigger calipers it won't be a straight fit and you will probably need the associated bigger carrier, as I have done this on other cars, and generally the carriers have same locating bolt pattern.
Then if you have the new bigger carrier you could compare it with the existing one and then comparing the two carriers.
If your existing carrier is off the car already can you take it along to your local parts to compare or if on good terms you may be able to ask them if they have both parts in stock to compare the two parts.

Having had a nosey around realoem and the web, I’ve not got a definitive answer, but it looks like the fronts might be a straight swap, but not the rears due to the X3’s electronic handbrake.
Pity, as an X3 with some braking and suspension tweaks would have made an interesting alternative to my 335dx and still be able to tow my car trailer instead of my X5

Hi
Given that the majority of the cars breaking is done by the front brakes,.
Since most people who mod cars and uprate the fronts brakes only I guess you could still do that, and it should still work with the rears okay.
Also as you say it could poss be better towing as the X3 is prob heavier than the 335d.
