My front windscreen wipers have been playing up.

At first I noticed they would stop higher than normal when coming to a stop.

Now, they stopped mid flight and wouldn't work until I turned off the ignition.

The following error code appeared:

A6C9 Front Disk Wiper Blocked

Then I noticed the motion of the wipers wasn't as previous, i.e. a quick wipe just kept on going!?

This sounds to me more of an electrical fault rather then a mechanical one.

Does anyone have any experience of this issue?

This turns out to be a minor problem, had to park up the X5 yesterday and it could be on its way to BMW heaven....Its pissing out oil, not investigated yet but not holding up much hope with 314K on the clock!

Its done brilliant to get so far , the wipers might just be a burnt relay and the oil is maybe a rotten pipe and not so serious if caught in time
