Hi just registered on forum although I have been visiting for a while, 3 months ago i changed my e53 le mans edition 3.0d for a x6 3.5d Black with oyster leather, got all the toys apart from HUD and a sunroof it has got a leather dash which the dealer told me is quite a rare extra. To be honest I just thought that was the usual salesman rubbish.having had the car for 3 months now I have got to say its a great drive, it doesn't do many miles as the missus uses it in the week and only has a 4 mile round trip to work. I do make sure it gets a run at weekend as I know that these cars need a good run to keep everything functioning as normal. Been to Aviemore a couple of times earlier in the year so its had a couple of 300 mile non stop runs and car performed great. We are driving to Tuscany at the end of may so that will be the real test. I done the south of France a couple of times in the x5 and that was effortless so I am expecting the same from the x6.
Thanks
Bolio

Re: Hi all
Hello and Welcome......
Nice colour combo too. Not seen one with a leather dash. It was an expensive option when I was speccing mine in 2010, so get left off.
Now......off you go to the Newbies section and put some piccies up otherwise you'll have a Sanj after you......he's a bit particular...or peculiar.........depending upon how well you know him.

These cars do need long runs as unlike the E53, they do have a DPF which the 4-mile journey will block up fairly quickly. Being BMW it won't be cheap!!

Re: Hi all
Welcome - sounds like a lovely car, that dash is rare to have in leather. Bet it feels really luxurious in the car though.
Very warm welcome
