Dog guard for X5 e70
Hi to all I have a 3.0sd 58reg,need to get a dog guard as the topic says,as my little staffy mange to jump though the gap with the rear head rests right up >:( so has anybody got a good guard they recommend,all is it BMW only job. :-[ and thanks again

I have the factory fitted retractable luggage compartment net which works very well. Comes up roller blind style from the front of the luggage compartment cover and hooks into brackets in the car ceiling. Probably expensive to retro fit, and you may prefer wire mesh though. Certainly very neat solution that can quickly be hidden when not needed.

got my e70 factory dog guard of e bay £50 fits easily behind rear seat no drilling etc

it just fits around the existing seat hooks that the rear seats locate in to,even with the seats forward it does not move

The genuine metal BMW dog guard is an excellent item and at £50 that was a total bargain. I paid something like £130 for mine from dealer but even at that its worth it as its so strong and absolutely no rattles. Just uses the seat hinges with big plates to keep it firm.
