438bhp from a three litre is just crazy. I would be concerned about the long term effects this could have on the engine, gearbox if driven hard too often.
If you do need more power.....(why would you?) surely Jason is the one to speak to.

Indeed, you need the Rolls-Royce variant (rated to 1,000Nm) of the ZF box is you need to go much beyond 700Nm or the box will break in short order, never mind the rest of the transmission!

I had a couple of my previous cars remapped by professionals in their respective car groups; but would NEVER get another car modded in this way. Despite the fun factor I enjoyed, there was a clear stress on other parts as a result - brakes, tyres etc - which had the bills coming thick and fast.
I prefer now to just save up a bit longer, buy the meaner derivative vehicle and drive it like I stole it, day in, day out, with the bonus of manufacturer's warranty for the first 3 years.
Why blow any warranty out of the water for the sake of a second off the 0-60 or mid-range? Also, would YOU buy a £70 grand car which had been remapped?
The diesel M is fast enough out of the box; enjoy it the way nature intended. Or jack it in for an X5 M.......
